Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Chandigarh to Manali, covering approximately 271 km in 6 to 7 hours. You’ll be picked up from the Chandigarh Railway Station in the morning. Enjoy the breathtaking landscapes as you ascend into the hills. On arrival in Manali, check into your cozy homestay, relax, and acclimatize to the mountain air. Overnight stay in Manali.
After breakfast, report to the Manali Base Camp by 9:00 AM for a trek briefing. Then, drive to Jobra, the trek's starting point. Begin your 3 km trek to Chika, which takes about 3 hours through lush forests and meadows. Set up camp at the beautiful Chika campsite (10,100 ft), enjoy a hot meal, and spend the night in tents under the stars.
Start your day with a hearty breakfast and begin your 8 km trek to Balu Ka Ghera. This stretch takes around 5 hours and offers scenic river crossings, wildflowers, and alpine landscapes. Reach the Balu Ka Ghera campsite (12,100 ft), nestled in a wide valley with views of towering peaks. Relax and rest here for the night.
Wake up early and gear up for the most challenging day of the trek. Begin your 12 km journey to Hampta Pass (14,100 ft), which takes about 4–5 hours of steep ascent. Once at the pass, take in the stunning 360° views of the Himalayas before descending to Shia Ghoru (12,900 ft), a sharp downhill trek that takes another 2–3 hours. Overnight stay in tents at Shia Ghoru.
Trek down from Shia Ghoru to Chhatru, a beautiful meeting point of Lahaul and Spiti valleys. After reaching Chhatru, hop into a jeep for an adventurous ride to Chandratal Lake (depending on weather and road conditions). Spend time soaking in the beauty of this turquoise alpine lake. Return to Chhatru for the night stay.
After breakfast, begin your return journey to Manali via the stunning Atal Tunnel, a quick and scenic route through the mountains. The drive takes about 4.5 hours, and you’ll reach Manali by evening. Spend some time shopping or relaxing before wrapping up the trek experience.
Wake up early and get ready for your return journey to Chandigarh. Enjoy the scenic ride back with memories of high mountains, crystal lakes, and a successful adventure. You’ll reach Chandigarh Railway Station by evening, marking the end of your unforgettable trek with Wildvoyages.
Arrive at Chandigarh Railway Station. Meet your driver for pick-up. Begin your scenic drive from Chandigarh to Manali (approx. 271 km). Begin your trek from Jobra to Chika. Set up camp and enjoy a delicious dinner at Chika campsite. Overnight stay at Chika.

After breakfast, start your hike towards Balu Ka Ghera, a location named for its bear population (especially in the winter). Cross various rivers and streams along the trail, and enjoy stunning landscapes with wildflowers and lush greenery. Upon arrival at Balu Ka Ghera, enjoy the scenic beauty and relaxation. Overnight stay at Balu Ka Ghera.

Early morning departure (around 7 AM) to cover a long and challenging trek. Ascend towards the Hampta Pass (14,000 ft), which will take approximately 4–5 hours. From Hampta Pass, begin the steep descent to Shia Ghoru (12,900 ft), which will take another 2–3 hours. Enjoy stunning panoramic views along the way, with alpine flowers and glacial landscapes. Once at Shia Ghoru, relax and admire the sunset views of Hanuman Tibba Peak. Overnight stay at Shia Ghoru.

Start your trek from Shia Ghoru towards Chhatru. This section will offer some of the most breathtaking views of Lahaul and Spiti valleys, with views of the Spiti and Pir Panjal ranges. Chhatru is the junction point of three significant passes: Hampta Pass, Rohtang Pass, and Spiti Valley. After reaching Chhatru, you will board a jeep for a thrilling ride to Chandratal Lake, a stunning alpine lake at the base of the Himalayas, believed to be the spot where Yudhishthira (eldest Pandava) ascended to heaven. Enjoy the serene beauty of Chandratal. Overnight stay at Chhatru.

After breakfast, leave Chandratal Lake around 8–9 AM and start your jeep ride towards Manali. Cross the Atal Tunnel, a marvel of engineering that connects the regions. Arrive at Manali Base Camp by early evening (around 5 PM), concluding your unforgettable Hampta Pass Trek with Chandratal.
